Registered Nurse - CVOR
Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, plus call requirements (one weekday per week and one weekend per month)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $69 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform scrubbing duties to hold the heart and assist with chest closure during open heart surgeries
- Provide expert nursing care for a variety of cardiovascular cases including open heart, TAVR, and endovascular procedures
- Collaborate with a dedicated team in a 16-suite CVOR unit handling 30 cases daily
- Participate in call rotation including one weekday per week and one weekend per month
- Float to General OR as needed when no CVOR cases are scheduled
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- At least 1-2 years of recent CVOR experience with open heart and endovascular procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of open heart surgery and endovascular techniques
- Proficiency with Epic EMR system
- Ability to scrub into cardiac procedures and assist with closure
- Understanding of sterile technique and OR protocols
