Registered Nurse - CVICU/CTICU

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating, with every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-acuity care to cardiac surgery patients, including those on IABP, CRRT, and ECMO
- Manage complex patient recovery post-CABG, lung transplant, and thoracic surgeries
- Perform bedside procedures such as bronchoscopies and Swan-Ganz catheter placements
- Collaborate with intensivists and a dedicated team in a 24-bed CVICU unit
- Float to other ICUs and telemetry units as needed, ensuring seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; CCRN preferred
- Level I trauma experience is a must
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience, with CVICU experience strongly preferred
- Strong IV skills and proficiency in sterile field techniques
- Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in cardiac monitoring and telemetry systems (Phillips)
- Proficient in Cerner EMR
- Skilled in managing IABP, CRRT, and ECMO devices
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills for high-acuity environment
