Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy evaluations and create individualized treatment plans
• Deliver hands-on treatment, therapeutic exercise, and modalities to improve patient function
• Document patient progress clearly and promptly in electronic records
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and their families on home programs and safe functional strategies
• Participate in orientation and training to ensure continuity of care during the coverage period
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Current and valid California Physical Therapy license (required)
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or relevant degree in physical therapy (preferred)
• BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Experience working with adult medical populations is highly desirable
• Strong clinical documentation skills and ability to work within interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility credentialing requirements

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy or related field acceptable

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in physical therapy assessment and treatment techniques
• Knowledge of therapeutic exercise prescription and functional mobility training
• Skilled in patient education and discharge planning
• Comfortable with electronic health record documentation
• Strong communication skills and professional bedside manner
• Ability to adapt treatment plans to a variety of patient needs and acuity levels
