Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough evaluations and develop patient-centered treatment plans to restore function and independence
• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, balance and gait training
• Monitor patient progress and modify plans of care based on outcomes and interdisciplinary input
• Document assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and promptly in the EMR
• Collaborate with nursing, physicians, and rehab team members to coordinate safe discharges and transitions
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety strategies, and injury prevention to support long-term recovery
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient care

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in New Jersey or eligible to obtain NJ licensure prior to start
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's in Physical Therapy required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
• Clinical experience in inpatient or rehabilitation settings preferred, but new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome to apply
• Valid professional credentials, clean background check, and up-to-date immunizations as required by the facility

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master of Physical Therapy (MPT)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and differential diagnosis skills
• Proficiency in therapeutic exercise, manual techniques, and mobility training
• Comfortable with documentation and electronic medical records
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
• Time management skills to balance patient caseload and administrative tasks
