Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments for pediatric patients and develop individualized care plans
• Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and chest physiotherapy
• Manage and monitor mechanical ventilators to ensure optimal oxygenation and ventilation
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
• Provide patient and family education on respiratory conditions and home care techniques
• Document patient responses and therapy adjustments accurately in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• Active Washington State Respiratory Care Practitioner license
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• PALS certification strongly preferred
• Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
• Ability to adapt quickly to varying schedules and patient needs

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in ventilator management, oxygen delivery systems, and airway clearance techniques
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) charting
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
