Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during patient procedures to ensure smooth and efficient visits
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to the highest standards
• Take and capture dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the orthodontist
• Provide patients with clear, friendly instructions for post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Denticon software
• Create a welcoming, comfortable environment that puts patients at ease

Qualifications

• Must be ortho certified (required)
• Active dental assistant certification/licensure in Maryland
• Experience in an orthodontic office is a plus
• Comfortable using digital charting and dental practice management software
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-first attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and terminology
• Familiarity with dental radiography techniques and safety protocols
• Proficient in sterilization and infection control best practices
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Warm, compassionate approach to patient interaction
