Shift Type: Sunday, September 13, 2026; 6:45 AM - 3:00 PM (day shift, 30-minute meal break)

Candidate Pay Rate: $21 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to residents in a skilled nursing setting
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Take and record vital signs, promptly reporting any changes to the nursing team
  • Help patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure their safety and comfort
  • Support individuals with meals, hydration, and nutritional needs
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment while following infection control protocols
  • Document care accurately and communicate thoughtfully with the healthcare team

Qualifications

  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Maine
  • Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain before starting
  • Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or assisted living is a plus
  • A genuine passion for helping others and providing respectful, dignified care
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and support patients as needed

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of basic patient care principles and safety protocols
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Attention to detail and accurate documentation skills
  • Compassion, patience, and the ability to stay calm in fast-paced situations
