Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate and attentive care to residents
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team
- Support residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare staff
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Maine
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- A heart for helping others and a positive attitude
- Ability to adapt to different resident needs and unit environments
- Previous experience in long-term care is a plus
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of resident care and safety protocols
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic life support and emergency response skills
- Understanding of infection control practices
- Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents safely
