Travel LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse
Location: Rutland, Vermont
Start Date: 09-01-2026
End Date: 11-23-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM, with every weekend commitment
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to residents in a long-term care setting
- Administer medications, treatments, and IVs as prescribed
- Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with registered nurses, physicians, and the care team to implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered LPN license in Vermont (or compact license)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Previous LPN experience in long-term care or acute care is preferred, but new graduates are welcome
- Ability to commit to a 13-week travel assignment
- Comfort working night shifts and every weekend
- Must have reliable transportation (public transit is limited in the area)
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of medical terminology and patient care procedures
- Skilled in medication administration, dosage calculations, and IV therapy
- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively
- Compassionate, patient-first approach with attention to detail
