Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM, with every weekend commitment

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to residents in a long-term care setting
  • Administer medications, treatments, and IVs as prescribed
  • Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient condition
  • Collaborate with registered nurses, physicians, and the care team to implement individualized care plans
  • Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care
  • Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility

Qualifications

  • Current, unencumbered LPN license in Vermont (or compact license)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Previous LPN experience in long-term care or acute care is preferred, but new graduates are welcome
  • Ability to commit to a 13-week travel assignment
  • Comfort working night shifts and every weekend
  • Must have reliable transportation (public transit is limited in the area)

Knowledge & Skills

  • Solid knowledge of medical terminology and patient care procedures
  • Skilled in medication administration, dosage calculations, and IV therapy
  • Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) documentation
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively
  • Compassionate, patient-first approach with attention to detail
