Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Complete comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on maximizing independence and quality of life
  • Lead therapeutic activities to improve fine motor skills, daily living activities, and mobility
  • Collaborate with the care team and families to set realistic, patient-centered goals
  • Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and patient progress accurately and timely
  • Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive equipment and techniques to enhance safety and independence
  • Advocate for patients' needs within the interdisciplinary team to deliver excellent care

Qualifications

  • Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in California
  • NBCOT certification as an Occupational Therapist
  • Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care is a plus
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of evidence-based occupational therapy practices and interventions
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Ability to create personalized care plans and modify them as patients progress
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Collaborative spirit and ability to work with diverse care teams
  • A compassionate, patient-first approach to therapy
