Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Take and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team
  • Support patients with mobility and transferring, ensuring safety and dignity
  • Assist with meals and hydration, monitoring intake and nutritional status
  • Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe patient environment
  • Document patient care accurately and communicate effectively with the care team

Qualifications

  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Maine
  • Current BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association preferred)
  • Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with strong communication skills
  • Ability to follow care plans and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • COVID-19 vaccination or documented medical/religious exemption (per facility policy)

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of basic patient care principles and safety protocols
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to document accurately
  • Teamwork and ability to take direction from nurses
  • Empathy and patience when caring for residents
  • Time management and organizational skills
