Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist with examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth patient flow
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain a safe, hygienic environment
- Take and process dental X-rays and impressions with precision
- Provide friendly, caring support to patients throughout their orthodontic journey
- Manage patient records and maintain accurate documentation using Denticon software
- Educate patients and families on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent training preferred
- Prior experience in orthodontics is highly valued
- Current CPR/BLS certification is a plus
- Radiography certification (or ability to obtain) preferred
- Strong communication skills and a positive, patient-centered attitude
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and sterilization protocols
- Familiarity with Denticon or similar dental practice management software
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy clinic
- Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
- Understanding of orthodontic terminology and procedures
