Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients across multiple MS-Tele units, including cardiac, neuro, oncology, renal, and post-surgical specialties
• Monitor telemetry and titrate heparin drips according to protocol, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Float seamlessly between facilities within Zone 4 (Garden City, Dodge City, and Ulysses) to support staffing needs
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Adapt quickly to changing assignments and environments while maintaining a patient-centered focus
• Document accurately in EPIC and utilize Alaris IV pumps to deliver medications and interventions effectively

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Kansas or compact state (NLC)
• 2+ years of MS-Tele experience within the last 3 years
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications
• Previous neuro experience preferred
• EPIC and Alaris experience strongly preferred
• Ability to commit to a 13-week assignment with no more than 3 missed shifts
• Willingness to float throughout Zone 4 and adapt to various unit acuities, including low-acuity ICU holds and PCU/Stepdown

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Heparin titration and IV infusion protocols
• Acute care nursing skills across multiple specialties
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
• Experience with Alaris IV pumps
• Strong critical thinking and flexibility in fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
