Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, compassionate care to low-risk mothers and babies during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and interpret strips using Phillips monitors and OBIX EFM system.
• Titrate IV medications such as oxytocin and magnesium sulfate as ordered.
• Educate and support new families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and recovery.
• Collaborate with OB techs, anesthesia, and charge nurse to ensure seamless care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing (or willingness to obtain Colorado license)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications
• Experience with EPIC charting preferred
• Fetal monitoring skills
• Comfortable with IV titration
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and call shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of labor, delivery, postpartum, and mother-baby nursing
• Proficiency in fetal monitoring (EFM) and strip interpretation
• Experience with IV therapy and medication titration (oxytocin, magnesium sulfate)
• Knowledge of AWHONN guidelines
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Adaptability to a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer and EHR proficiency
