Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, rotating schedule including 6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week period

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to diverse adult and geriatric patients across multiple medical-surgical and telemetry units
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms, titrate heparin drips, and respond quickly to changes in patient status
  • Float across a variety of specialties including cardiac, neuro, oncology, rehab, renal, bariatrics, ortho, trauma, and ED observation as part of the MS-Tele float pool
  • Collaborate with charge nurses and the interdisciplinary team to manage a 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio based on acuity
  • Adapt quickly to new facilities and teams using EPIC charting and evidence-based practice
  • Participate in 1-2 day orientation with a preceptor to hit the ground running

Qualifications

  • Active RN license ready to submit (BSN not required)
  • Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA required)
  • Prior neuro experience is a plus
  • Willingness to float within Zone 3 across facilities in the Denver area (60-mile radius from Denver City Center)
  • EPIC charting experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

  • Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
  • Acute care nursing across multiple patient populations
  • Heparin drip titration and IV therapy
  • Critical thinking and adaptability in a fast-paced float environment
  • EPIC electronic health record proficiency
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
