Location: Centennial, Colorado

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; schedule rotates and includes weekend shifts (6-9 per 6-week schedule)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse adult and geriatric population across multiple units including cardiac, neuro, oncology, renal, and surgical specialties
  • Monitor telemetry closely and respond promptly to changes in patient status
  • Titrate heparin drips as ordered and manage patients with varying acuity levels
  • Float seamlessly between zone facilities and adapt quickly to different unit environments
  • Collaborate with charge nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Document accurately in EPIC and maintain compliance with all safety standards

Qualifications

  • Active RN license in Colorado or a compact state (or willingness to obtain)
  • Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA required)
  • Experience with EPIC charting system
  • Ability to float across multiple facilities within a 60-mile zone
  • Strong preference for prior neuro experience

Knowledge & Skills

  • Solid telemetry and cardiac monitoring skills
  • Comfortable caring for patients with cardiac, neuro, oncology, renal, and post-surgical conditions
  • Skilled in titrating heparin and managing multiple acute patients
  • Excellent communication and adaptability for float assignments
  • A true team player who thrives in fast-paced, changing environments
