Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry for a 16-bed MS/Tele unit with a mix of medical-surgical and post-surgical patients
• Provide compassionate post-surgical care for patients recovering from appendectomies and cholecystectomies
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality acute care and ensure patient safety
• Administer medications, treat adverse reactions, and document everything clearly in Cerner
• Float to the sister facility in Mesa when needed to support the team and cover staffing gaps
• Educate patients and families on recovery plans and telemetry results with a warm, reassuring approach

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona or a compact license - we welcome travelers from all over
• 2+ years of experience in MS/Tele or related acute care settings
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or equivalent
• Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with 80% or higher within two attempts before starting
• A current driver's license - you'll need it for floating and exploring
• Comfortable floating to a nearby sister facility as needed (within 50 miles)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation skills that keep you calm under pressure
• Hands-on experience with post-surgical care and recovery pathways
• Proficiency with Cerner charting - you'll be a documentation pro in no time
• Understanding of acute care nursing standards and best practices
• Excellent communication skills to build rapport with patients, families, and the care team
• Ability to think fast and adapt in a busy 16-bed unit environment
