Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-acuity nursing care to ICU patients across MICU, SICU, TICU, and CVICU units
• Titrate critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin with confidence
• Interpret telemetry strips and manage ventilator and respiratory needs as part of a collaborative team
• Float across a designated 60-mile zone to support multiple facilities and acuity levels, ensuring patients always receive excellent care
• Work closely with charge nurses and the care team to adapt quickly to changing assignments and patient needs
• Document accurately in EPIC and maintain compliance with all safety and quality standards

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (3+ years for first-time travelers)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA)
• EPIC charting experience required for first-time travelers
• Willingness to float throughout Zone 1 and adapt to different facility teams
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills in fast-paced environments

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in ventilator management, including vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
• Proficiency in titrating critical drips and managing complex medication protocols
• Ability to interpret telemetry rhythms independently
• Knowledge of common ICU diagnoses and acuity levels
• Comfort with floating to PCU/Stepdown and Medical-Surgical Tele units as needed
• Team player mindset with flexibility for Just-In-Time scheduling
