Shift Type: Days, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM). Schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance; travelers should expect floating across Zone 3 and 6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to a diverse adult and geriatric patient population across MS-Tele, cardiac, neuro, oncology, and surgical units
• Monitor telemetry and assess patient conditions, responding quickly to changes and emergencies
• Float seamlessly between multiple facilities within Zone 3, adapting quickly to each unit's protocols and team
• Titrate heparin and other titratable drips as ordered, ensuring patient safety at all times
• Collaborate with charge nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Document accurately in EPIC and communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
• Mentor and support patient education, helping individuals understand their conditions and recovery

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Colorado or compact state (NLC) - license to submit required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA)
• Experience with EPIC charting system
• Comfortable floating to multiple facilities within a 60-mile radius
• Previous neuro experience is a plus
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Heparin drip titration and IV therapy
• EPIC electronic medical records proficiency
• Ability to quickly acclimate to new units, teams, and patient populations
• Excellent communication, adaptability, and teamwork
• Knowledge of adult/geriatric care across multiple specialties including oncology, ortho, and renal
• Time management and prioritization in fast-paced environments
