Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during patient evaluations and procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatories
- Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
- Help with fitting and removing braces and other orthodontic appliances
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and care
- Maintain accurate patient records using Denticon software
Qualifications
- Orthodontic Dental Assistant Certification required
- Previous dental assisting experience, preferably in orthodontics
- Proficiency with Denticon dental software is a plus
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology
- Skilled in taking dental X-rays
- Familiarity with dental practice management software
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
