Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms following strict infection control protocols
• Take and develop dental X-rays and impressions as directed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with appointment scheduling

Qualifications

• Certified or registered Dental Assistant (RDA/CDA) preferred
• Current Maryland Dental Radiology Certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in orthodontic or dental assisting
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused attitude
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in orthodontic procedures, including bracket placement and wire adjustments
• Knowledge of dental software and digital imaging systems
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Team player with a positive and professional demeanor
