Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist with patient examinations and procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Take and develop dental x-rays as directed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
• Support a welcoming and efficient clinical environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Assistant certification in Maryland
• Current radiology/x-ray license preferred
• Experience in orthodontics is a plus
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental terminology and orthodontic procedures
• Proficient in sterilization and infection control protocols
• Comfortable using dental practice management software
• Excellent interpersonal skills with patients and team
