Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist oral surgeons during surgical procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
• Prepare the operatory and sterilize instruments to maintain a safe environment
• Take and develop dental radiographs as directed by the surgeon
• Provide compassionate patient care and comfort before, during, and after procedures
• Manage surgical instruments and supplies, keeping the team well-equipped
• Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant in Maryland
• Experience in oral surgery or surgical dental assisting
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Knowledge of dental terminology and surgical instrumentation
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental radiography and X-ray safety
• Chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques
• Sterilization and infection control protocols
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to anticipate surgeon's needs during procedures
