Location: Herrin, Illinois
Start Date: 06-22-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM, 4 days a week with rotating day off, plus 1 weeknight and 2 weekend days a month for call requirements
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in transporting and positioning patients with care and compassion
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for upcoming procedures
- Open sterile supplies and set up instruments for smooth surgical flow
- Support surgeons by passing instruments and sutures during procedures
- Maintain accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies
- Handle specimens with precision and attention to detail
- Decontaminate and properly store instruments and equipment
- Help turn over operating rooms quickly for the next case
Qualifications
- Active BLS certification required
- Graduate of an accredited OR technician program or equivalent training
- Minimum 2 years of surgical technology experience
- Strong sterile technique and instrument handling skills

- High School diploma or equivalent
