Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert OR circulation for a high-volume surgical service including neurosurgery and multiple other specialties
• Prepare operating rooms, ensure instrument and supply readiness, and perform accurate counts
• Support and assist during robotic procedures using the DaVinci system
• Anticipate surgeon and team needs to maintain smooth, efficient case flow
• Collaborate with nursing, anesthesia and sterile processing teams to ensure patient safety
• Assist in positioning and patient care specific to neurosurgical procedures
• Document perioperative care accurately and communicate changes in patient status

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an OR circulator with comfort and confidence in neurosurgery (neurosurgery experience required)
• Experience with DaVinci robotic surgery is highly desired
• Comfort working across multiple specialties including ortho, general, ophthalmology, podiatry, gynecology, pain management, urology and hand surgery
• Ability to take call as needed (up to 10 days/month or less)
• Strong teamwork, communication and critical thinking skills in the OR environment
• Current state licensure or certification as required by role and facility; ability to obtain or transfer licensure for AZ

Education

• Completion of an accredited OR, nursing or surgical technology program preferred
• Relevant state licensure or certification as required for OR circulator roles

Knowledge & Skills

• Operating Room circulation best practices and sterile technique
• Robotic surgery workflows and DaVinci familiarity
• Neurosurgery procedures and instrumentation knowledge
• Efficient room turnover and case coordination
• Surgical instrument handling, counts and documentation
• Patient positioning and perioperative safety standards
