Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough occupational therapy evaluations to identify patient strengths and needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote independence and function
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions for a diverse adult rehab population
• Train patients and caregivers in adaptive techniques and safe transfers to improve outcomes
• Document progress clearly and timely in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate closely with nurses, PTs, SLPs and case managers to coordinate care
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of care
• Float between assigned centers as needed to support patient care and coverage

Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapy license in Maryland (required)
• Certified Occupational Therapist (OTR/L preferred)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification
• Comfortable with documentation in EMR systems and strong clinical reasoning
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines
• Experience in inpatient or outpatient rehab settings preferred; new grads considered

Education

• Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OT/OTD) or equivalent entry-level degree

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, treatment planning, and ADL training
• Knowledgeable about adaptive equipment, splinting, and therapeutic modalities
• Strong documentation and time-management skills
• Ability to adapt treatment approaches for diverse diagnoses and ages
• Familiarity with discharge planning, insurance processes, and rehab protocols
• Comfortable floating between clinic locations and adjusting to different team workflows
