Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients using evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to maximize independence
• Develop individualized treatment plans and functional goals that are meaningful to each patient
• Document patient progress clearly and timely to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with nurses, PTs, SLPs and physicians to coordinate holistic care
• Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques, home programs and community resources
• Participate in team meetings and contribute clinical expertise to improve patient outcomes
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards while maintaining person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapist licensure in the state of practice or ability to obtain state licensure promptly
• Degree in Occupational Therapy (BS/OT, MOT, OTD or equivalent) from an accredited program
• Clinical experience in occupational therapy; travel/contract experience is a plus
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Strong documentation skills and comfort with electronic medical records
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a patient-centered mindset

Education

• Degree in Occupational Therapy (BS/OT, MOT, OTD or equivalent)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assessment and intervention planning for adult and/or pediatric populations
• Knowledge of adaptive equipment, splinting basics and ADL training
• Proficient documentation and discharge planning practices
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment
• Good clinical reasoning, time management and prioritization skills
