Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Bakersfield, California
Start Date: 06-08-2026
End Date: 09-07-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts with rotating weekday call after 4:30 PM, rotating weekend call, and rotating holiday on-call
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform cardiac, SPECT, bone scan, bleed studies, and gastric emptying procedures with precision and care
- Operate advanced GE nuclear medicine equipment to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging
- Collaborate with the radiology team and in-house radiologist to ensure accurate study results
- Maintain proper documentation using Radnet and Merge Unity systems
- Provide compassionate patient care while performing 5-10 studies daily
- Float to Mercy Downtown location when needed to support patient care across the system
Qualifications
- Current California Nuclear Medicine Technologist License (CA NMTL) required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of nuclear medicine experience
- Strong background in cardiac, SPECT, bone scan, bleed studies, and gastric emptying procedures
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with Radnet and Merge Unity EMR/PACS systems
- Experience operating GE nuclear medicine equipment
- Knowledge of various nuclear medicine studies including cardiac and SPECT imaging
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards
- Strong attention to detail and patient safety protocols
