Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI exams across adult and pediatric populations using Siemens MRI equipment
• Prepare patients for imaging, confirm safety protocols and manage isolation precautions/PPE
• Administer contrast media and start peripheral IVs when needed, following policy and best practices
• Operate advanced imaging techniques including MRA/MRV, MRCP, diffusion studies and cardiac MRI
• Apply radiation safety principles and maintain accurate documentation in the charting system (Epic preferred)
• Process and post-process images using tools like ADC mapping, subtraction, MIP and MPR for diagnostic clarity
• Collaborate with radiologists, nursing and interdisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Washington State radiologic technologist license required (must have license in hand)
• ARRT (MR) certification preferred
• BLS certification (preferred/required per facility guidelines)
• Minimum ~1 year MRI experience as noted in the job profile
• Comfortable with contrast administration and starting peripheral IVs
• Experience with Siemens MRI systems and Epic is a plus
• Preferred experience in Trauma Level II settings and a range of adult/pediatric care environments

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in MRI imaging protocols (T1, T2, diffusion, MR angiography/venography)
• Skilled in cardiac MRI, MR aortogram, pulmonary and peripheral angiography techniques
• Experienced in breast MRI, abdominal MRA/MRV, MRCP and musculoskeletal imaging
• Image post-processing: ADC mapping, subtraction, maximum intensity projection (MIP), multiplanar reconstruction (MPR)
• Strong patient care skills across neonates to geriatrics and in acute, ICU and outpatient settings
• Solid understanding of radiation safety, infection control and safe contrast administration
• Familiarity with Siemens equipment and Epic electronic charting
