Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic, vascular, and echo ultrasound exams at various facilities using portable sonographic equipment
• Capture clinically diagnostic, technically competent images and transmit them digitally to radiologists for interpretation
• Manage your daily caseload through self-dispatching or coordination with dispatch
• Verify patient identity using two identifiers and ensure physician orders match the exams before proceeding
• Communicate professionally and efficiently with dispatch, facility staff, and patients
• Maintain and care for sonographic equipment and company vehicle, ensuring everything is ready for each visit
• Adhere to high ethical standards, infection control protocols, and company policies at all times
• Submit exam paperwork and billing documentation daily, and attend required meetings
• Train and support other technologists as needed

Qualifications

• Registered with ARDMS or CCI for vascular ultrasound (required)
• Experience with echo and vascular modalities (required)
• Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound technology program
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (required)
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption (required)
• Ability to pass drug screening and background check
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with little direct supervision
• Basic smartphone and computer skills, including document scanning and email
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

Education

• Graduate from an accredited diagnostic ultrasound technology program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of diagnostic, vascular, and echocardiography ultrasound techniques
• Proficiency in operating portable sonographic equipment
• Understanding of medical ethics, patient safety, and infection control
• Familiarity with applicable regions, geography, and travel routes
• Ability to use basic smartphone operations and computer applications
• Effective time management and organizational abilities
• Professional phone manner and strong communication skills
