Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient placement and movement across the hospital to optimize care flow
• Collaborate with nursing directors to ensure optimal staffing coverage
• Lead emergency responses to codes and traumas, providing support to staff
• Serve as the communication bridge between providers, staff, and external facilities
• Oversee facility operations during your shift and support all departments
• Champion patient safety and quality care throughout the house

Qualifications

• Active RN license - must be currently active (Nebraska or compact state)
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in critical care
• Current BLS/BCLS certification
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC certifications required
• Strong leadership and critical thinking skills
• Experience in a house supervisor or charge nurse role is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of critical care and emergency response protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to assess staffing needs and allocate resources effectively
• Knowledge of hospital patient flow and operations
• Calm and effective decision-making in high-stress situations
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (preferred)
