Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a stepdown unit, transitioning from ICU to general care
• Monitor and titrate vasoactive drips including neosynephrine, amiodarone, and cardizem
• Manage and maintain central lines, PICC lines, and vascular access devices
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and wound care including wound vacs
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and their families on care plans, medications, and recovery goals

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care nursing experience (ICU or PCU)
• Active Registered Nurse license in Missouri or a compact state
• BLS (BCLS) and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with CPAP/BiPAP, trach care, and airway management
• Proficiency in IV insertion, PICC/central line management, and vasoactive drug titration
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, float-friendly environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Titration of vasoactive drips
• Cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Central line and PICC line management
• EKG acquisition and interpretation (preferred)
• Feeding tube and wound vac management
• Epidural and PCA pump monitoring
