Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist in providing top-notch patient care, from initial consultations to adjustments
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to ensure a safe and hygienic environment
• Take and develop dental x-rays to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care, helping them achieve their best smile
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment notes
• Work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure seamless patient flow and exceptional service

Qualifications

• Orthodontic certification is required - we would love to see that ortho credential!
• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent state certification
• Previous experience in orthodontic assisting is highly preferred
• A friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and instrumentation
• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and equipment
• Familiarity with dental software like Denticon is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to build rapport with patients of all ages
