Hours per Week: 38
Candidate Pay Rate: $35 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience
- Prepare operatory rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain a safe, clean environment
- Take and pour dental impressions, fabricate and deliver retainers and other orthodontic appliances
- Perform digital X-rays and intraoral scans to support treatment planning
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care to promote lasting results
- Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans in the practice management system
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or successful completion of an accredited dental assisting program
- Orthodontic assisting experience is highly preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Valid dental radiographer certification as required by Maryland
- A warm, caring demeanor and strong patient communication skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Working knowledge of dental terminology and orthodontic procedures
- Experience with dental practice management software, such as Denticon
- Understanding of sterilization and infection control standards
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
