Shift Type: 3 x 12-hour day shifts with weekend rotation, no call

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Deliver expert respiratory care and diagnostic procedures for cardiopulmonary patients of all ages and all acuity levels
  • Manage sophisticated ventilator support for critically ill patients
  • Provide specialized respiratory therapy for neonatal and pediatric patients
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses and the care team to optimize patient outcomes
  • Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations using ACLS, PALS and NRP protocols
  • Assess, monitor and document patient responses to respiratory interventions
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory care and home ventilation strategies

Qualifications

  • Active RRT credential required - CRT will not be considered
  • Valid Colorado Registered Respiratory Therapist license (DORA-RT) in good standing
  • Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications - all required
  • Minimum 5 years of respiratory therapy experience
  • Excellent critical care and ventilator management skills
  • Neonatal and pediatric respiratory experience required
  • Completion of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program as required by license

Education

  • Completion of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program as required by license

Knowledge & Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of respiratory care and cardiopulmonary diagnostics
  • Critical care and ventilator management expertise
  • Neonatal and pediatric respiratory care proficiency
  • Strong ACLS, BLS, PALS and NRP rescue skills
  • Ability to work with patients of all ages and acuity levels
  • Electronic medical record proficiency with Point Click
