Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and document accurately using Meditech EMR
• Manage wound VACs, chest tubes, and other specialized medical equipment
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Float to Laulima and Cardiovascular units as needed to support patient care
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain a safe, healing environment and uphold professional nursing standards

Qualifications

• Active Hawaii RN license by start of assignment (travelers without a HI license must apply upon acceptance of offer)
• Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Flexibility to work various shift lengths and days
• Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Comfortable floating to different units as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with Meditech EMR and Point Click
• Experience with Pyxis medication dispensing system
• Skilled in wound VAC management and chest tube care
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Adaptability to a dynamic, fast-paced environment
