Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence
• Assist patients with therapeutic activities and exercises designed to improve motor skills, coordination, and daily living activities
• Document patient progress accurately and communicate updates to the care team
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and adaptive techniques
• Maintain a safe, encouraging environment that promotes patient engagement and confidence

Qualifications

• Valid Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) certification
• Current New Hampshire state licensure or compact eligibility
• Prior experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or long-term care settings preferred
• BLS/CPR certification required
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with patients

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and rehabilitation techniques
• Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation
• Ability to adapt treatment activities to individual patient needs
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
• Effective teamwork and communication skills
