Roles & Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs, height/weight, and pulse oximetry
• Perform 12-lead EKG/ECG and document results in EPIC with attention to detail
• Prepare exam rooms and chart materials, ensuring seamless patient flow
• Record patient history, medications, and allergies to support safe, informed care
• Assist providers with procedures and set up aseptic or sterile trays as needed
• Handle telephone triage, refill requests, and follow-up phone calls professionally
• Verify insurance, prepare authorization forms, and support administrative tasks
• Review lab results and escalate findings to the clinical team as appropriate
• Float between North Gate and Beacon Hill clinics as needed, maintaining continuity of care

Qualifications

• MA-C certification required (MA-R will not be accepted); MA-C must be in-hand at time of signature
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• EPIC charting experience required
• At least 6 months of experience as an MA in an adult outpatient clinic is required; 1 year of outpatient experience is referenced in the job details
• Reliable personal transportation required for floating between clinics
• Willingness to work the specified clinic schedule and occasional clinic-to-clinic float within scope

Education

• MA-C certification (required)
• BLS certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with EPIC charting and documentation
• Skilled in patient rooming, vitals collection, and 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition
• Experienced with telephone triage, medication refill workflows, and pharmacy communication
• Familiar with chart preparation, insurance verification, and authorization form workflows
• Able to set up and assist with procedures, including aseptic/sterile tray setup
• Comfortable reviewing lab tests and communicating clinically relevant information to providers
• Strong attention to detail and administrative accuracy in a busy outpatient specialty clinic
