Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing center
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized care plans
- Monitor vital signs, assess resident conditions, and report changes promptly
- Perform wound care, assist with daily living activities, and promote resident independence
Qualifications
- Valid LPN or RN license in Maryland (required)
- Current CPR certification (BLS) from AHA or similar
- Minimum 1 year of experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible per diem shifts including nights and weekends
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of nursing principles, medication administration, and infection control
- Skill in IV therapy and wound care (RNs) or catheter care (LPNs)
- Excellent ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a focus on dignity and respect
