Location: Mount Olive, NC

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, days as scheduled, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM day shift

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $28 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered direct nursing care
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Monitor and document patient status, vital signs, and changes in condition
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate plans
Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

Current, active LPN license in North Carolina (or active RN license if applying as RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtainable upon hire
Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts when scheduled
Previous clinical experience preferred, especially in acute care or skilled nursing
Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team
Current immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program
For Registered Nurse candidates, completion of an accredited ADN or BSN program

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamental nursing assessment and patient monitoring skills
Medication administration and documentation best practices
Basic wound care and restorative nursing procedures
Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
Infection prevention and patient safety awareness
Time management and prioritization in a busy clinical setting
