Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate nursing care that promotes comfort and enhances quality of life for residents
- Lead and mentor Resident Assistants with coaching, training, and education on proper nursing techniques
- Deliver safe, professional care following facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards
- Coordinate individualized plans of care to support each resident's unique needs and goals
- Maintain strong assessment skills and ensure accurate, timely medication administration
- Uphold safety standards and infection control practices to create a secure environment for everyone
Qualifications
- Active Alaska LPN licensure required
- Current American Heart Association BLSP (CPR) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of long term care nursing experience preferred
- New graduates welcome with an 8-12 month preceptorship program available
Education
- Associate's degree in nursing
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
- Ability to lead and support nursing support staff
- Commitment to resident dignity, respect, and person-centered care
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Attention to safety protocols and infection prevention practices
