Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate nursing care that promotes comfort and enhances quality of life for residents
- Lead and mentor Resident Assistants with coaching, training, and education on proper nursing techniques
- Deliver safe, professional care following facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards
- Coordinate individualized plans of care to support each resident's unique needs and goals
- Maintain strong assessment skills and ensure accurate, timely medication administration
- Uphold the Choices Philosophy of Care by treating every resident with dignity and respect
- Apply universal precautions and infection control standards to keep residents, visitors, and staff safe
Qualifications
- Active Alaska LPN licensure required
- Current American Heart Association BLSP (CPR) certification required
- 1 year of Long Term Care nursing experience preferred
- New graduates welcome with an 8-12 month preceptorship at Heritage Place
- Strong assessment, leadership, and communication skills
Education
- Associate's degree in Nursing
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in long-term care nursing practices and resident-centered care
- Ability to lead and support nursing assistants effectively
- Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations
- Strong commitment to safety, infection control, and Planetree philosophy
- Excellent assessment and care coordination abilities
