Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents at Red Rocks Care Center
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and in a timely manner
- Perform patient assessments and document changes in condition clearly
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and follow care plans
- Assist with activities of daily living while promoting resident dignity and independence
- Respond promptly to resident needs and urgent situations during your shift
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in New Mexico or compact state eligibility as required
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Completion of an accredited Practical Nurse program (diploma or certificate)
- Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or a similar setting preferred
- Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on night shifts
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nurse program; LPN diploma or certificate required
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Basic wound care and infection control procedures
- Patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
- Electronic medical record charting and documentation
- Time management and prioritization in overnight clinical settings
- Teamwork, empathy, and clear resident-family communication
