Location: Baltimore, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (schedule varies), Nights, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate bedside care to geriatric residents with dignity and respect
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Take and record vital signs accurately and report significant changes to nursing staff
Support mobility and safe transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
Document resident care and observations clearly in the chart or EMR
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team to promote continuity of care

Qualifications

Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in good standing
Experience working in long-term care or geriatric settings preferred
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Able to pass facility background checks and health screenings
Strong communication skills and a patient, compassionate demeanor
Reliable, punctual, and able to work overnight shifts safely

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of geriatric care principles and dignity-centered care
Skilled in safe transfer techniques and fall prevention
Familiarity with infection control practices and PPE use
Accurate vital sign measurement and documentation
Basic charting/EMR comfort and timely communication of changes
Team-oriented with strong observational skills and attention to detail
