Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal therapy to keep patients' smiles healthy
- Educate patients on oral hygiene best practices and preventive care
- Assess oral health conditions and document findings for the dentist
- Take and process dental X-rays to support accurate diagnoses
- Assist the dentist during procedures and ensure a smooth patient experience
- Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment
Qualifications
- Active Virginia Dental Hygienist license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong clinical skills and a passion for patient care
- Experience in dental hygiene is a plus, but new graduates are welcome to apply
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization protocols
- Strong patient communication and education skills
- Familiarity with dental software and patient records
- Attention to detail and commitment to infection control
