Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide thorough dental cleanings and patient education to promote oral health
• Conduct comprehensive periodontal assessments and charting
• Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
• Take and interpret dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
• Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans
• Maintain strict infection control and sterilization protocols

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Virginia
• Current CPR certification (BLS)
• Graduate from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in periodontal therapy and scaling/root planing
• Knowledge of dental software and digital charting
• Excellent interpersonal skills to put patients at ease
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
