Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of pediatric dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
- Take and develop dental x-rays with precision
- Provide friendly, compassionate care to young patients
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
- Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and post-operative care
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent training is a plus
- Current CPR certification preferred
- Experience working in a dental office, especially pediatrics, is ideal
- Strong communication skills and a warm, patient-friendly demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Radiography license or certification as required by state
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
- Proficiency with dental practice management software
- Understanding of infection control protocols
- Chairside assistance expertise
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
