Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments are sterilized and ready for each patient
• Assist the dentist during procedures by handing instruments and keeping the patient comfortable
• Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
• Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts as needed
• Manage inventory of dental supplies and place orders when necessary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience
• Current CPR certification and dental radiography certification (if required by state)
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, reassuring chairside manner
• Experience working with children in a dental setting is a big plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization techniques, and patient care protocols
• Proficiency with dental software for charting and scheduling
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm, cheerful demeanor
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
