Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care to patients, treating each person with dignity and respect
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility) to support their comfort and safety
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient status, promptly reporting changes to nursing staff
• Support the interdisciplinary team by communicating observations and participating in patient care planning
• Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and follow infection control protocols
• Document care accurately and timely in the patient record
• Build rapport with patients and families, offering reassurance and clear communication

Qualifications

• Current and valid CNA certification in California (required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
• Prior CNA experience in an acute care or long-term care setting is a plus
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings (TB, immunizations)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
• Dependable, punctual, and able to handle overnight shift responsibilities

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with activities of daily living and basic patient care
• Knowledge of infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Ability to follow care plans and effectively report changes in patient condition
• Basic familiarity with electronic medical records or willingness to learn
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
