Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
- Assist with safe patient transfers, mobility, and positioning
- Support nurses and interdisciplinary team members with timely communication
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
- Document patient care clearly and timely in assigned charting systems
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant)
- Valid authorization to practice as a CNA in California or eligibility to obtain state certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable working overnight/night shift hours
- Strong communication skills and a patient-focused attitude
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding)
- Knowledge of basic patient safety, mobility and fall prevention
- Accurate vital sign measurement and documentation
- Understanding of infection prevention and standard precautions
- Familiarity with bedside charting and following care plans
